BEINGEGYPT CARES
Nurturing Minds, Empowering Futures
BeingEgypt Cares is a New York-based nonprofit organization focused on eradicating youth illiteracy. We partner with schools and organizations to provide reading materials and writing services, encouraging innovative literacy exploration. Our efforts extend beyond education, combating bullying, boosting self-esteem, and enabling confident self-expression. Through the power of literacy, we aim to create a brighter future for youth, empowering their minds and opening doors to endless possibilities. Join us in making a profound difference in children’s lives, one book and one word at a time, as we build a more inclusive world where every child can thrive.
Kindness Carnival
The Kindness Carnival is an annual event held every October to kick off Anti-Bullying Month. Now in its second year, the 2024 carnival drew thousands of attendees and brought together families, sponsors, community members, and local leaders to promote kindness and unity against bullying. Led by 9-year-old CEO and bestselling author Egypt Bush, the event offers a variety of activities, resources, and services—all completely free—to create an inclusive space for everyone. Join us in supporting this important cause and be part of the movement to spread kindness and stand up against bullying!
In a joyous display of unity, hundreds of kids and adults gather in October for the annual Kindness Carnival. This day of fun and empowerment, dedicated to eliminating youth bullying and violence while nurturing empathy, kindness, and respect among young individuals, is led by the charismatic 9-year-old CEO and bestselling author, Egypt Bush. Join us for this heartwarming celebration of positivity and inclusion!
Fatherhood and Fades
Barbershop Talks
Our program celebrates the bond between fathers and their children. Through engaging panel discussions and free haircuts for kids, we aim to strengthen this bond in the unique setting of a local barbershop. Fathers enjoy meaningful conversations on fatherhood while their children receive complimentary haircuts. Additionally, we promote literacy by providing barbershops with bookshelves filled with books for kids to enjoy during their visits. Join us in celebrating fatherhood, promoting literacy, and creating lasting memories for families in our community.

Join Egypt's Efforts to Spread the Joy of Reading to Children this Christmas!
When the pandemic forced her local library to close, 5-year-old literary enthusiast Egypt Bush took matters into her own hands. Deprived of new reading materials, she embarked on a creative journey. Drawing inspiration from her life and vivid imagination, Egypt dedicated her lockdown period to a remarkable endeavor – penning not just one or two, but an impressive total of six books under the series titled “Egypt’s Everyday Superheroes.” Within these pages, Egypt herself takes center stage as the protagonist, narrating tales of ordinary individuals accomplishing extraordinary feats within their community.
The talented author, Egypt Bush, derives immense joy from sharing her stories and inspiring other kids. She expressed; it makes me feel so happy that kids feel confident when they read my books. I want them to write their own books too.
In pursuit of making a meaningful impact, Egypt aspires to donate a substantial amount of her books to children in need.
